Coach Kyle started the PSD ski team in 2018. Entering year six, he continues to find ways to normalize Nordic skiing in Fort Collins, grow the team, and create new experiences (on and off the snow) for a group of eager Front Range kids. Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, he's been on cross-country skis since the time he could walk. He went on to ski at the Division I level in college and credits the PSD ski team for rekindling his life-long love for the sport.
Coach Janna is entering her fifth year as assistant coach. As a Poudre High School grad herself, creatively skiing around Fort Collins and chasing snow in the surrounding areas is a natural part of winter for Coach Janna. When she's not Nordic skiing or on her road bike, she also coaches middle school and high school tennis.
Assistant Coach- Rich Markey [email protected] 2023-24 is Coach Rich's third year as assistant coach on the PSD Nordic ski team. He's a teacher at our very own Poudre High School and was previously an assistant coach with the cross-country running team at PHS. Originally from the maple syrup state of Vermont, and having spent some time living and working in Norway, Rich is no stranger to the world of Nordic skiing!
Assistant Coach / Paw Patrol - Huckleberry Finn
Huck joined the PSD Nordic ski team as a puppy in 2018. He's grown up with the team and is a regular at practices, car rides, and team meetings. He enjoys chasing the kids at hill bounding practices, chasing the ball during Tony Ball games, and chasing the chickens at wax sessions. Huck has skied in four states, but his favorite place to ski is the Poudre High School Nordic Center.
